Dr. Rod J. Rohrich is an internationally renowned expert in the field of plastic surgery. He is also a certified hand surgeon. He is a professor and chairman at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he teaches plastic surgery. He is also a practicing surgeon, and was voted the best plastic surgeon in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Rohrich has been featured on many national television shows such as The View, Good Morning America, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Rod Rohrich is a well-educated doctor. He earned his Bachelors degree from North Dakota State University. He attended The University of North Dakota from 1975 to 1977 where he earned his Masters degree. He went on to Baylor University College of Medicine where he earned his medical degree from 1977 to 1979. He graduated with high honors from all three of these schools. His education continued as he held residencies in general surgery from 1979 to 1982 and plastic surgery from 1982 to 1985 at The University of Michigan Medical Center. He did six months of training in pediatric plastic surgery at Oxford University in England. He also received additional education at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and Harvard Medical School.
Besides being a distinguished professor and one of the best plastic surgeons in the United States, Dr. Rohrich is also an accomplished author. He has written or co-written five textbooks in plastic surgery:
